Consumer Decision Making Process for Purchasing Property in Spain Essay This study has investigated the decision process of consumers purchasing property in Spain. The report focused on the underlying reasons for purchasing a property in Spain, the methods used by the purchaser to gather information and the overall satisfaction with the purchase process. The intention of the report was to link current theories on consumer purchasing behaviour to the purchase of property abroad. The methodology used was deductive research using a survey approach. The questionnaire was analysed by a means of Chi square and variable comparisons. The results were collected using a postal and an email questionnaire. The investigation revealed a clear link between the level of satisfaction of the purchase process and the level of information and advice sought. The report concluded that the majority of respondents from the questionnaire purchased their property abroad as a holiday home and purchased from an estate agent. The gathering of information and the seeking of advice was prevalent among most respondents; this was reflected in satisfaction levels and the overall purchase experience. The majority of consumers were overall, satisfied with their purchase. However, if given the opportunity to repeat the purchase, most stated they would change something about the process they followed. Many stated they would not use a Spanish agent again due to experiencing communication problems. This area gives scope for future research in order to establish why communication weaknesses are present in the supply of Spanish properties to British citizens.

Traditional Western and Disney Ideals as Seen in Mulan Fairy tales have been a long tradition in almost all cultures, starting as oral traditions to and gradually evolving into written texts intended for future generations to enjoy. Today, a common medium for relaying these ancient stories is through animation. The Walt Disney Company is probably the most well known for its animated portrayals of many classic fairy tales. These fairy tales are considered, by fairy tale researcher Justyna Deszcz to be â€Å"cultural institutions, which exist within an institutional framework of production, distribution, and reception, as well as fulfilling specific social functions, such as the preservation of the cultural heritage of a given country.† The majority of these Disney fairy tales are derivatives of European stories. However, in 1998 Disney opened its first animated feature with an Asian theme in both the United States and Asia. Disney’s Mulan seems to stray from the traditional structure of a Disney fairytale, those which have a â€Å"relatively uncomplicated sequence of adventures, revolving around impeccably positive characters, who, depending on their gender, either conquer evil or passively wait to be rescued† (Deszcz). Disney’s Mulan was aimed to please both the Asian and modern American markets. However, the Walt Disney Company fails to completely step away from its established model in terms of portrayals of minorities, Western depictions of men being dominant in the fairy-tale world, and a woman’s ultimate role and happiness being conditional on men. According to people, a family should consist of parents and children living together. This does not only apply to children from a common ancestor but also those who are adopted. Since 1960 there have been a lot of changes that has affected the real legal power of the family. There has been self-definition due to bilateral-income in marriages. It has led to divorce and children being raised by a single parent-family that makes them encounter emotional disruption and lack of family care. Women have become financial independent leading to tension in marriages (Wilcox, 2009). The introduction of the new law of non-fault divorce by American nation has eliminated the need for couples to identify their wrongs in marriages (Wilcox, 2009). It has gutted marriage its power to bind a husband and wife. All of these changes have led to a high rate of divorce. Currently, the statics of marriages have decreased with the current studies showing that in 1960s more than 68% of adults aged 23 years wer e married while today less than 23% of the same age are not married (Pewsocialtrends.org, 2010). The marriage has also shifted from heterosexual to same-sex marriage in most American societies. Due to this there has been divorce and immigration of people because one feels can access that marriage there. It has also contributed to Children being raised by foster parents because their biological parents are gay. In a situation of divorce, both parents are given opportunity to fight for the custody of their children in America. To solve all this, the government advocates are making arguments to stop divorce (Cheryl 2011).They encourage troubled couples to try work out things first since filing for divorce is expensive. The government is also coming up with laws that ensure divorce balances or the parties in the marriage.

Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo seemed to be just like a regular man. He had a wife, two kids, was a teacher in Russian literature, an engineer, and a proud soviet party member. No one would have ever guessed he was one of the world’s most notorious serial killers. By day, he was your average Joe literature teacher, but by night he took upon a darker passion that involved rape and murder. He would lure his victims into decollate locations with sadistic intent unknown to them. Chikatilo managed see out his sick secrets for over a decade with little suspicion. In December, Chikatilo met a 9 year old girl at a bus stop named Lana. Chikatilo offered Lana something soviet children rarely had the chance to enjoy, bubblegum (Bio movie). After that moment Lana agreed to follow Chikatilo to his second house. Once they got to the house, Chikatilo began to molest Lana. He became very excited and wanted more direct sexual contact with her (Lourie). Failing at the attempt to rape her, he pulled a knife and stabbed her, killing her.
